Become a recreationally certified drone pilot!
In order to fly a drone (quadcopter, tricopter, helicopter, RC plane, etc... you need to complete the TRUST certificate training (according to the Federal Aviation Association, the FAA). Here is a link to that test. Be sure to save the certificate, because you cannot access it later.
Please note: There are many laws that pertain to drone operation. For my students in West Chicago, IL, the entire town is in controlled airspace and you cannot fly very high and are supposed to tell the airport when you are flying outdoors. I will provide more resources later regarding these regulations.
Make Your Own Font!!!
FontStruct is a free font-building tool.
FontStruct lets you quickly and easily create fonts constructed out of geometrical shapes, which are arranged in a grid pattern, like tiles or bricks.
Google Earth doesn't just have satellite images of the Earth, be sure to check out Mars, Skyview, the Moon, and a lot more. They even have a built in flight simulator! If you don't have the program installed, you can check out some of the features here.
